Building a FoundationIn 6th Grade Social Studies you will learn about many different things. These things will be difficult to understand unless you have a basic understanding of world geography, governments, and economics. In this unit, you will learn major areas in the world as well as major areas in the United States. You will learn about the major types of governments in our world and analyze how the U.S. government works. You will also learn about types of economies and examine the U.S. economy.
