Elmdale is a very close-knit and friendly community.  When new neighbors move in, everyone takes time to introduce themselves.  But the new people on Rosemont Street have everyone a bit concerned, because they don't answer their door.  The house is always dark and the shades are drawn.  A group of boys, unable to stand the curiosity, peeks into the basement windows and are shocked by what they see!  The room is packed with guns, rifles, homemade bombs, and body armor!  They run home to tell their parents, and word spreads quickly throughout the neighborhood.

The police say they cannot do anything because the boys had no right to trespass, and they won't take the words of a bunch of nosey neighbors.  The frightened neighbors feel the only thing they can do is protect their own families, so they all buy guns.  A few nights later they are awakened by what sounds like gun shots.  They grab their guns and head outside.  A nervous older man fires a shot in the air after a barking dog startles him.  Several other guns go off in response.  By the time the police arrive, two people are dead and four people are injured.

After that some old man hears gun shots a dog startles him and he shoots at the end of this 2 people are dead and 4 are injured. I don't think that the two boys should have trespassed though.

The conflict of the story is when a group of boys search an dark house when they look in the they see weapons they try and spread the word and tell the police but the police is not taking their word so the boys decide to buy guns to protect their families and friend and in the middle of the night they hear a gun shot go off but it was a older man shooting at the barking dog the man killed two people and four people where injured.

I think the major conflict of this story is that the kids snooped when they had no right and they assumed the new neighbors were dangerous which in turn got two people killed and four injured.

i agree w/ Gretchen bc the kids had no right to snoop into their neighbors garage so it was their fault people got killed plus they were spreading rumors in the 13 amendments it says ''we have the right to bear arms'' so who knows what the neighbors were gonna do with the guns they may have wanted to protect their family and the old man shot to scare a dog so the others should not have shot their guns and observed carefully or called the police

The main conflict of this story is that the kids find guns in the neighbors garage, and that night two people got killed and four injured.By the neighbor shot a gun in the air by being startled and people came out in response so that those people were accidentally killed and injured by people shooting.
