Picture
Sunshine Mall is "the place to be" for Westway High students.  On the other side of town Riverdale High students spent their time at the Extreme Arcade and Bowling Alley.  But recently the owner of the arcade put a new policy into effect:  on the weekends anyone under age 18 must have adult supervision.  The move was in response to recent vandalism, which the owner is convinced was done by the teenagers.  Although angry about the policy, the Riverdale kids realize they can't change it so they begin to go to Sunshine Mall on the weekends.

At first the Westway students are sympathetic.  After a few weeks, though, tensions rise; there are no empty tables in the food court, seats in the movie theater, or parking places in the lot.  The Westway students feel pushed from their turf and fights break out between the two groups.

i disagree with you because the conflict is when they decided to go to the mall were the other people were. They should have discussed what part of the mall the were allowed in and had like different times they go so there wouldn't be people crowding the food court.

The major conflict of this story is when the arcade and bowling alley has a vandalism issue and the owner fixes it by making a new rule: any one under the age of 18 must come and be supervised by an adult. This causes the Riverdale High teenagers to start going to Sunshine Mall where the Westway High teenagers hang out.

I think the conflict is that the Riverdale High students are starting to go to Sunshine Mall on the weekends and one weekend the students saw there were no seats available in the food court no parking spots or no seats at the movie theater so they broke out into a fight with the other group of people.

We think the conflict is when the owner of the bowling and arcade area makes a new policy that is:on the weekends any person under the age of 18 must have adult supervision, and causes chaos between the two groups.

The conflict in this story was when the Extreme Arcade and Bowling Alley made a new rule in which any one under the age of 18 must have adult supervision. This leaded in the Riverdale kids to hang out in different places. Tension began to rise between the Riverdale and Westway students began to get in fights because that was where the Westway students mainly hung out.
