1. Group Reader:
- The group reader opens the challenge and reads it to the group.
- The group writer, writes the information on the Challenge sheets.
- The group runner is the only person in the group allowed to bring the Challenge sheet to the teacher at the podium.
- The group ref settles any disagreements and conducts a vote whenever the group does not agree.

GAME INSTRUCTIONS
Remember how the Amazing Race is Played:
1. I will give each group reader Challenge 1. DO NOT OPEN THE CHALLENGE UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO!
2. When I say, "You may start, NOW," the group reader will read Challenge 1 to the group and then hand the
challenge to the group tech.
3. The group tech decides how the group will divide up jobs to complete the challenge and gives the challenge
paper to the group writer.
4. The group writer FIRST writes the group name and all group members' names at the top of the challenge. They
also write what each member was responsible for doing to complete the challenge.
5. Each group member does researches or completes their job assigned by the group tech and then reports their
answer to the group writer.
6. When the group has completed the challenge, the group runner will quickly bring the challenge sheet to the
teacher podium. NEW RULE: If you run or push, I will send you to the end of the line and take your challenge
sheet last in the line of people at the podium.
7. If your team's challenge sheet is correct, I will hand the next challenge to the group runner and your group may
immediately open it and begin Challenge 2 using the same procedure as above.
8. If your team's challenge sheet is incorrect, I will shake my head no and hand the challenge sheet back to the
group runner for your group to correct. Simply cross out or erase the incorrect answers and rewrite the correct
answers. Once your group feels that they have corrected any incorrect answers, the group runner will return to
the podium.
9. Again, if the answer is correct, I will give you the next challenge. If it is still incorrect, I will send the runner back
again. You will not get any hints! You will go back every time the sheet is incorrect until it comes back to me
correct.
10. The game does not end until every group has completed the race. This means all groups must complete all of
the challenges.
11. The winner is the first group to complete all the challenges in the race. I will post each groups' place on the
board and online.
12. The first place winner of each class gets the trophy over their table until the next AMAZING RACE.
13. If you participate in the race with your team and finish the race with your team, regardless of what place you
come in, you receive a 100/A+ for the activity.
