Level 2: Inflation Island 200 Point Level
Instructions: To begin the simulation, you will click on the icon below.
The first leg of the challenge requires to explore the island and report what you find.
Click on the Explore Island link. You must begin by exploring all six places on the island. (The Residential Area, the Shopping Center, the Financial District, the Construction Site, and the Ministry of Finance (Department of the Treasury).
At each place you will see blue exclamation marks over certain areas. You will click on these to read what the people have to say about how they are affected by the economy. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a meter. You will click on this to change the economy. You must explore all four events (deflation, price stability, high inflation, and hyperinflation.) Using the guide activity below the game icon, you will answer the questions about the economy during price stability (prices are where people are making money on what they sell and people who buying things can afford to pay the prices the sellers have set); deflation (when prices fall); high inflation (when prices rise from very high from year to year); and hyperinflation (when prices rise higher and higher from month to month).
When you have completed Leg 1 of Level 2 submit your answers. Your score will not instantly appear. You must inform me that you have completed the activity.
