What Are Historical Simulations?

Picture

Historical simulations are virtual reality experiences where the student plays a character in history and must make decisions and solve problems as people in history did.  Historical simulations are a wonderful way to make the lessons we have learned from history stay with students.  It also actively engages students in problem solving and critical thinking skills.

What are Historical Games?

Picture

Historical games are any type of game that helps reenforce our history lessons.  These games include fun games where you learn along the way and review games.  Historical games help the students develop a better understanding of historical themes.  It also helps them retain that understanding in order to develop their own ideas and opinions about those themes.

Table of Contents

Each unit has its own Game and Simulations Page.  You can click on the links below to get to them, click on the links on each lesson page, or use the pull down menu from the Games & Simulations tab at the top of the each page on the website.
