Internet Travel

Do you know that the internet is another way for you to travel?
The internet is a worldwide network that connects people using computers, phones, or other devices.
When you are connected to the internet, you are online.

We are going to watch a video called, "My Online Neighborhood."  Pay attention because we are going to talk about the movie when it is over.  You can also watch this movie at home on your computer.

Just as you follow safety rules for traveling in the real world, you should follow the three safety rules we just discussed when going online.

The computer makes it possible for you to visit distant places without ever leaving the classroom.
A website is a place you can visit on the Internet.
