THE LESSON MISSION
I can demonstrate my knowledge of the computer keyboard and increase my typing speed. HYPERDRIVE TYPISTS COMPETITIONEach year we have a Hyperdrive Typists competition for every grade level. You will work all year in your classrooms and at home to complete a typing program and increase your words per minute and accuracy. Once a month, Mrs. Tyner will announce the 3 Hyperdrive Typists in the lead for each grade level. The top three students in each grade level at the end of the year get medals on awards day!

KEYBOARDING
Today we are going to begin our keyboarding lessons using a program called Typing Club. All kindergarten and 1st grade students are assigned the Jungle Junior Course. All 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are assigned the Typing Jungle Course. Listen to the videos and complete each activity. Get as far as you can in the lesson. I will be monitoring your progress on my computer. If you have a question, please raise your hand and I will come to you.
